  • There are a few reasons for this schedule. Some pests are more active in other seasons and are more likely to attempt to get into your home in the extreme cold or warmer months. In addition to that, the products we use are eco-friendly and are designed to break down over time. This is especially true in heavy rains, extreme heat or severe cold. Failure to reapply the products will leave your home vulnerable to pests once again. While we recommend applications every other month, proper application applied every 3 months will get you a significant level of comfort as well.

  • We wish that cold weather would wipe out all of the pests as well! Unfortunately that is not the case, otherwise we would never see them emerge in the spring time. Pest are extremely good at locating the warm and secure areas in and around your home. When you turn on your heater, you can bet that they see your home as a beacon to have safe haven for the long cold winter months. Luckily, for you, Blue Jay is equipped with the proper products and tools to reach these hard to find hideouts.

  • I wish we were that good. While you will absolutely see significant reduction in the pest population around your home, it is just not possible to guarantee that you will not find the occasional pest make its way inside. Sometimes they hitch a ride on a traveling soccer bag or within some of the produce from the grocery store. Maybe a neighbor has just started a huge landscaping project or signed up for their own pest control service. This will automatically force pests to flee to find new hiding places. With proper pest control in place, you will find that as soon as a pest comes into contact with our products it’s only a matter of time before they roll over. Should you experience more than the occasional pest making its way inside the home between visits, please call us and we will treat the problem areas free of charge.

  • No. There are several different products and application methods that are better suited to various, pests, seasons, and needs. Some companies will utilize the same product on each and every visit will save money by purchasing them in bulk, however pest do develop resistance to these products and can breed stronger offspring turning your initial pest issue into a much more difficult population to control.

  • Yes. However this will only provide a very temporary relief to your pest woes. Without performing a followup service, the eggs and offspring that are unaffected by the initial products may produce new generations to invade the home. Additionally, The products we use are designed to break down over time so your repellant barrier will be short lived.

  • This is normal. Our products are designed to flush pests from their normal hiding places. They wont be around for long once they have come in contact with our products.
